Installment App (“the App”) is a business tool that helps shopkeepers manage installment sales, customers, payments, and recovery. This policy explains what information the App handles and how it is used. By using the App you agree to this policy.
1. Information the App handles
- Account & login. When you sign in, your username and a session token are used to authenticate you to your own shop’s account on our servers (installmentapp.com). We never sell your credentials.
- Business records you create. Customers, sales, payments, expenses and related entries you add belong to your shop. They are stored on our servers and cached on your device so the App works offline.
- On-device storage. To work without internet, the App stores a copy of your shop’s data locally on your device (browser storage / IndexedDB). This local copy is removed when you log out or uninstall the App.
- Camera & files. Only with your permission, and only when you choose to attach a photo or document to a record, the App uses your camera or file picker. The App does not access your photos or files at any other time.
- Basic technical data. Standard server logs (such as IP address and request time) are recorded to operate and secure the service.
2. How we use it
- To authenticate you, save and sync your records, and let you work offline.
- To keep the service secure and diagnose problems.
- We do not use your data for advertising, and we do not sell your data.
3. Sharing
Your data is stored with our hosting provider solely to run the service. We do not share your business data with third parties, except where required to operate the service (for example, secure hosting) or to comply with the law.
4. Security
All communication between the App and our servers uses encrypted HTTPS. Access to your shop’s data requires your login.
5. Data retention & deletion
Your business records are kept while your account is active. You can request deletion of your account and its data at any time by contacting us (below). Uninstalling the App removes the offline copy stored on your device.
6. Children
The App is a business tool intended for shop owners and staff. It is not directed to children under 13.
7. Changes
We may update this policy from time to time. The “Last updated” date above reflects the latest version.
